Driver faces numerous charges after crash in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK - An Albany man is facing numerous charges including DWI and assault after a crash in Clifton Park involving another car.

Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said that 40 year-old Jeffrey Horton was driving southbound on I-87 on the exit 8 off-ramp when he failed to stop for a red light and crashed into a car driven by 31 year-old Shaynie Devalia of Clifton Park who was traveling on Crescent Road.

Devalia is currently being treated for a toe injury following the crash at Albany Medical Center where Horton is also being treated for an apparent eye injury.  According to officials both passengers in each car did not suffer any injuries.

Officials say Horton was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree Assault, three counts of Second Degree Reckless Endangerment, among many others.  He will be arraigned upon his release from Albany Medical Center.
