Gloversville man arrested on arson charges

GLOVERSVILLE -- Police say they arrested a man who started a fire at a residence in Gloversvile on Tuesday.

Gloversville Police arrested Adam Roice, 27, on Thursday and charged him with attempted arson, reckless endangerment and petit larceny. Officials say Roice was causing a disturbance at a residence when he took a gas can from the front porch of the home and dumped it on the steps before lighting it and causing a small fire.

Authorities say no one was injured as a result of the fire. They also say Roice had been in a local bar earlier in the night and stole a bottle of whiskey.
