There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

Town Justice resignes amid misconduct allegations

COEYMANS - A town justice has resigned in Albany County following an investigation into misconduct allegations.

Philip Crandall has stepped down as justice of the Coeymans Town Court and as acting justice of the Ravena Village Court.

Judge Crandall was facing formal disciplinary charges.  That case has now been closed due to his resignation.
Back in October of 2013 he was served a complaint containing four charges, allegedly granting a lenient disposition in a traffic case involving the son of a former member of the Coeymans Town Board and failing to disqualify himself from, and granting a lenient disposition in a matter involving the judge's brother-in-law.
