Police: Woman arrested after claiming to be attorney

ALBANY - State Police say a woman who failed the bar exam 4 times was arrested for allegedly claiming to be an attorney.

Police say 29 year-old Carina Comiskey was charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument after a background investigation after a Governor's appointment as an attorney for the New York State Justice Center.

Comiskey showed documents to a police investigator allegedly claiming to have passed the bar examination and was allowed to practice law in New York State.

She is a graduate of the Albany Law School.

Comiskey was arraigned in the Town of New Scotland Court Tuesday and released on her own recognizance.
