Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Ex-NY state trooper pleads guilty in 3rd rape case

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (AP) -- A former state trooper twice acquitted of rape charges involving two ex-girlfriends has accepted a plea deal in a case involving a third woman who claimed he had raped her.

The Press-Republican of Plattsburgh reports that 33-year-old Trevor Donah pleaded guilty Tuesday to unlawful imprisonment and was sentenced to a year in Clinton County Jail. His trial was scheduled to start in May.

Donah was arrested in February 2013 after two women said he had attacked them. A third woman later came forward and said he also had attacked her while he was off duty.

During trials in November and last February, Donah was acquitted of rape charges. During the second trial, he was found guilty of assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. He was sentenced to two years in jail for the conviction.
