Man pleads guilty to downloading child pornography

ALBANY--A Greenwich man has pleaded guilty to using the internet to obtain child pornography.

Authorities say Timothy Tefft, 65 of Greenwich admitted to downloading several files containing child pornography from various websites. They say Tefft used a thumb drive to save the files to view them at a later time.

Attorneys Richard Hartunian and Andrew Vale state that Tefft faces at least 5 years of imprisonment and up to a maximum sentence of 20 years.

The defendant has been issued a sentencing set for September 3.
