Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Albany shooting

UPDATED -- 9:00 PM -- Albany Police have released the name of the victim in Sunday's fatal shooting.
On Monday, Police identified the victim was identified as 23-year-old Jesse Overton of Albany.
No additional information was available from police.

ALBANY - Albany Police are investigating an apparent fatal shooting that occurred in Albany early Sunday.

According to Albany PIO Steve Smith police responded to Madison Avenue and South Pearl St. for reports of shots fired at around 4:40 a.m.  When they arrived they found a 23 year old male on the ground.

According to Officer Smith the unidentified male was transported to Albany Medical center and was pronounced dead. 

Officer Smith said that the investigation is ongoing and asks anyone with any information to call the police department at 462-8039.
