Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. Montgomery Co. dog breeder agrees to turn over 13 animals

ROOT -- Herbert Weich, the Montgomery County dog breeder accused of not properly caring for the animals, agreed on Monday to turn over 13 dogs.
The animals are already being cared for the the SPCA.   This agreement allows for the dogs to be adopted.
Weich is also off the hook for the cost of care provided by the animal shelters where the dogs are staying.
Bethany Schumann-McGee from the Montgomery County SPCA said that she hopes the dogs will find a loving home.
Weich is still facing criminal charges.
 He is accused of leaving the dogs outside in sub-zero temperatures this past winterwith little shelter.
