Police: man arrested twice in one night, charged with DWI

GUILDERLAND - Police stopped an Altamont man for speeding twice in one night, and both times ended up with DWI charges.

Guilderland Police say they stopped David Kornfield for speeding on Route 20 on Saturday at 11:30 p.m. determining that he was intoxicated.

Authorities say Kornfield was found to have a blood alcohol content of .13%.

His passenger Lisa Mottolo of Altamont was found to be in possession of a small amount of Ecstacy, according to police.

Kornfied was charged with DWI and speeding.

Guilderland Police then say they pulled Kornfield over again at around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday in a different vehicle for speeding.

Kornfield was again arrested, accused of driving while intoxicated, speeding, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.  This time, police say, he refused a chemical test.

He was arraigned and sent to the Albany County Jail on $2000 bail.  Both Kornfield and Mottolo are due back in court in June.
