Altamont man sentenced for driving drunk, crashing into fence

ALBANY -- An Altamont man was sentenced to prison on Monday for driving drunk and crashing into a fence in March.

Wesley Pulsifer, 30, will spend the next 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated driving while intoxicated. The charge stems from an incident in Knox when the man crashed into a fence on Craven Road. Witnesses say Pulsifer tried to back out of a ditch near the fence twice before cops arrived.

In addition to the prison time, Pulsifer was sentenced to a conditional discharge of 3 years following his release from custody. He was also ordered to install an ignition interlock device for 3 years and pay a 2,000 fine. His license has been revoked for a minimum of 1 year.
