Father, son accused using pipes to beat victims

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Authorities arrested a father and son on Wednesday for allegedly beating two victims with copper pipes.

Joseph Wood Sr., 46, and Tyrone Wood, 17, both from Glens Falls, were arrested following an alleged assault that happened in the early morning hours in the Town of Easton. According to police, the pair went to an acquaintance's home on Birch Hollow Road where they got into a fight, using copper pipes as weapons.

Joseph Wood was located and arrested on the scene. Tyrone Wood fled into the woods, but was later located and arrested as well. The pair face a number of charges, including menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Authorities say the victims suffered minor injuries from the assault.
