Police: Teen arrested for stealing from church

GHENT -- State Police arrested a Ghent teen after they say he stole a car from a local church.

Daniel Graziano, 17, was charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. Troopers say it all started when they pulled Graziano over for numerous vehicle and traffic violations on Monday.

That's when they say they discovered that the car was owned by the Bible Baptist Church of Ghent, and Graziano did not have a valid driver's license or permission to operate the vehicle. On Tuesday, officials say their investigation revealed that the teen had burglarized the church, stole the keys to the car and stole the vehicle from the church parking lot.

He was arrested and arraigned on Tuesday. Graziano is due back in court next month.
