Snow and Gusty Wind on Tuesday - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

RENSSELAER Plans for potential development of a Hard Rocks Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Rensselaer were revealed.

In an announcement on Thursday, Dan Dwyer the mayor of Renssalear, hosted the presentation to unveil a proposal for a casino in the city.

The Hard Rock is teaming up with the NYS Funding on a proposal for a casino to be located at the DeLaets Landing site along the Hudson River in Rensselaer.

Hard Rock is an internationally recognized brand known for high quality offerings across the globe, said Dan Dwyer. Introducing the Hard Rock brand to the region and to our city greatly elevates the excitement around this project and will make the resort casino even more attractive and successful as a destination for the local community and visitors alike.
