DETROIT - General Motors has recalled almost 430,000 vehicles in the U.S. under 4 different recalls.
-29,000 Chevrolet Cruze sedans in the U.S. and 4,066 in Canada for 2013 and 2014 are being recalled for for what GM is saying the airbag could rupture, propelling metal pieces into the vehicle, possibly seriously injuring the driver or other occupants. General motors says they are aware of one injury from this issue.
-392,000 full-size pickup trucks and SUVs in the U.S. and 53,607 in Canada. An additional 20,874 were sold outside the U.S. and Canada. Affected are four-wheel-drive versions of the 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra; the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban; and the 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL
These vehicles, the transfer case could electronically switch to neutral. GM says that is this occurs while the vehicle is in motion, no power will go to the wheels. If the vehicle is parked, the vehicle could roll away.
