Halfmoon declares state of emergency due to flooding

HALFMOON -- A State of Emergency has been declared in the Town of Halfmoon due to flooding.

Officials say the declaration, which went into effect shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday, was in response to major flooding from Wednesday's storm. The effected area includes Northwood Development and Woodin Road South of Grooms.

Authorities say the State of Emergency will remain in effect until rescinded by a subsequent order.
