Fire in Troy damages store

TROY - Fire crews battled a fire at "Pete's" in Troy on Sunday.

According to Fire crews the early morning fire began at the first floor store on 3076 6th Avenue.  The Troy Assistant Fire Chief said that 24 firefighters were at the scene.  He said the fire crews had difficulty fighting and gaining access to the blaze because of its location.

According to the Assistant Chief the building is still structurally sound but the inside was badly damaged.  He said that electricity was shut off to the building.

Officials said that it is too early to determine the cause of the fire.
