Man arrested after dispute with neighbor

NEW SCOTLAND - State Police say a man admitted to using a sling-shot to damage his neighbor's property.

Police say that over a week ago they were called to investigate damage to a residence and two vehicles parked at the residence in New Scotland.  According to police the victim recently noticed more damage done to the property.

When troopers investigated a second time it was then that the victim's neighbor, David Ellers, allegedly admitted to firing pellets using the sling-shot at the residence due to an on-going dispute between them.

Police say Ellers was charged with Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief and First Degree Harassment.
