AG: Bennington Sgt justified in shooting suspect
BENNINGTON, VT - The Attorney General says it has completed an investigation after a Bennington Police Sergeant shot a knife wielding suspect in a Bennington Police Station.
Police say back on April 22, 42 year-old Gregory Filo entered the lobby of the Bennington Police Department, approached the dispatch window, and demanded to see Sergeant Plusch with a knife concealed in his jacket.
Police say Filo was wounded by Plusch after Filo refused to drop a knife while making stabbing motions.
The investigation concludes that Plusch was justified in the use of deadly force, believing he or others were in imminent danger.
