Troy 4th of July fireworks scheduled for July 2nd

TROY - Mayor Lou Rosamilia has announced July 4th fireworks will take place two days earlier.

According to a release from the Mayor's office, the July 4th fireworks will take place at dusk on July 2nd, after the Rockin' on the River concert.

The success of Rockin on the River combined with the patriotic feel of Independence Day gives every indication that next Wednesday will be a very exciting night in the City of Troy, said Mayor Rosamilia. We are anticipating thousands of people to visit Downtown Troy to enjoy the concert and fireworks.

The Rockin on the River concert begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Green Island Bridge Parking Lot and will feature the bands Super 400 and Wild Adriatic.
