Snow and Gusty Wind on Tuesday - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

Malta man indicted on murder charge

MALTA -- A Malta man and retired Long Island police officer has been indicted for the murder of his wife.

In May, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Meadow Rue Place in Malta to check on the welfare of Kathleen Wilkinson, who had not been heard from in several days. According to authorities, Kathleen Wilkinson's husband, Charles Wilkinson, 69, answered the door and let the Sheriff's Deputy into the home.

Investigators say the Deputy located the body of Kathleen Wilkinson in a bedroom of the home, with no obvious cause of death. Officials say the investigation revealed that she had been killed by her husband during a domestic dispute and that he then continued to live in the house over the weekend while his wife was deceased.
