Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Police looking into attempted abduction

CASTLETON - The Schodack Police Department says it is investigating an attempted abduction in the Village of Castleton.

Police say the incident occurred on Thursday at noon on Scott Ave near the cemetery.

According to police a 14-year-old female was walking alone when a man approached her after exiting his vehicle.  He allegedly asked her if she wanted a ride and to get in his car.

Police say the female refused and continued walking toward North Main Street. 

Police describe the suspect as an East Indian and in his 50's with a beard.  Police say he spoke with a heavy accent.  According to police he was driving a light blue 4-door SUV.
