Burgh coach reinstated

LANSINGBURGH Members at an emergency school board meeting voted unanimously to reinstate an area coach who was let go of his job suddenly.

Varsity Softball Coach John Cipperly, a 31 year veteran of the Lansingburgh district, was called into a meeting and told he was being let go because the board wanted to move in a different direction.

On Monday many community members spoke about the positive influences he's had on students and asked the board to reconsider, rallying to get him back.

On Thursday the board voted to reinstate Cipperly and two volunteer assistants.
