Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. Vermont police search for suspicious man

SHAFTSBURY -- Vermont State Police are asking for help to track down a suspicious man they say approached a young girl.

The 9-year-old girl was in her bedroom inside a Cleveland Avenue home in Shaftsbury when she says she heard a knock on her bedroom window. The girl reported that a man was standing outside the window and asked her to come out and play. According to authorities, when the girl screamed, the man fled.

The suspect is described as a white man of medium height with short. buzz-style dirty blond hair. He was wearing large plastic rimmed glasses.
