Occasional Snow To Continue Into the Evening, Slow and Slick Travel Persisting

Patchy areas of light snow wil persist through the evening with brief localized bursts of moderate snow possible through 8pm.  Additional snow accumulations will be spotty and light, generally 1" or less through the evening.  The cold air in place will continue to support slow and slippery travel conditions with less traveled roads, parking lots, and sidewalks remaining snow covered through the night.

Councilman wants city employees to live in Albany

ALBANY - An Albany Common Councilman is making another attempt at requiring city employees to live within city limits.

3rd Ward Councilman Ron Bailey says he just wants to level the playing field.

His first attempt was back in 2010, which stalled.

Bailey says the requirement wouldn't impact police or firefighters, as they are exempt by the state.

There are residency requirements in Troy and Schenectady for non-public safety workers.
