Developing Storm: Snow To Increase in Coverage and Intensity After Midnight

A major Nor'easter now developing off the mid Atlantic coast will put eastern New York and western New England on its western side through Tuesday.  Snow will become steadier from SE to NW across the region after midnight and towards daybreak Tuesday with snowfall of varying intensity through Tuesday evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 20-30 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions into Tuesday night. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 8"-14" are expected.

Sch'dy Police: Woman charged with stealing from employer

SCHENECTADY - Police have arrested a Schenectady woman, accusing her of stealing thousands from her employer.

Schenectady Police say 41 year-old Carrie Lafond, while employed as a bookkeeper for John D. Marcella & Son Appliances, stole over $50,000 between April 2011 and March 2014.

Investigators say she forged the owner's as well as another employee's name on corporation checks and altering business records to cover her tracks.

Lafond was charged with grand larceny and felony forgery.  She has been arraigned in Schenectady County Court.
