Low pressure developing off the Southeast coast will quickly move northeast tracking south of New England through Wednesday night as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Snow will develop quickly Wednesday morning and fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering off and ending before daybreak on Thursday.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility through the duration of this storm.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Troy Police: woman arrested for leaving two dogs in car

TROY - Police have arrested a Troy woman accusing her of animal cruelty after allegedly leaving two dogs in a parked car for 3 hours.

Troy Police say a HVCC Public safety officer was informed of two dogs being kept in a parked car in the parking lot of Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday at around 2:00.  The Officer confirmed and determined that the dogs appeared to be in distress.

Troy Police with Animal control were able to rescue the dogs from the vehicle and determined they were locked in the car for three hours without food or water.  The outside temperature was 81 degrees.

Police arrested Yessenia Santana, charging her with 2 counts of injuring animals under the agriculture and markets law.  She is due back in court in August.
