Parents arrested after toddler found wandering street

CHESTERTOWN -- State Police say a couple have been arrested after their 2-year-old child was found wandering along the roadway.

James Cullen, 26, and Bianca Cullen, 23, from Brant Lake have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. According to authorities, a driver spotted the young girl around 9 p.m. on Tuesday and took her to the Horicon Fire Department. That's when State Police were called and an investigation was launched.

Officials say their investigation revealed the toddler left the family's home and walked south on Market Street near Mill Pond before crossing State Route 8 where she was spotted on the south shoulder near the post office. They believe she was unattended for 30-45 minutes.

The girl's parents were issued appearance tickets.
