S'chdy woman pleads guilty to DWI after high speed chase
ALBANY - A Schenectady woman has pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated and attempted reckless endangerment after a high speed chase back in march.
Police in Watervliet attempted to stop Danielle Boyd, 29, back on March 7th at around 2:15 in the morning after police say she was tailgating another vehicle.
Boyd then took off after the Officer attempted to pull her over, reaching speeds of 100 mph , striking a guardrail on 1-90 West, damaging her car and front tire.
Police say she continued to speed to Schenectady, debris from the car striking the officer's vehicle. She was eventually boxed in by officers in Schenectady County.
Officers say they found an open bottle of brandy in her car.
Boyd faces 1 1/3 to 3 years in state prison for the DWI charge, in addition to a charge of 1 1/3 to 4 years for the attempted reckless endangerment charge, when sentenced on October 2, 2014.
