Low pressure developing off the Southeast coast will quickly move northeast tracking south of New England through Wednesday night as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Snow will develop quickly Wednesday morning and fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering off and ending before daybreak on Thursday.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility through the duration of this storm.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

J.P. Sportman ready vs. ValleyCats

Troy, NY - New York-Penn League All Star outfielder J.P. Sportman (La Salle Institute/CCSU) leads the Vermont Lake Monsters up against the Tri-City ValleyCats this week at Joe Bruno Stadium, which sits next door to his high school alma mater.

Sportman, who grew up in Schenectady, was Oakland's 27th round selection in the 2014 MLB Draft.  After batting .321 for the A's rookie league team in Arizona, the former South Troy Dodger has been even better since being promoted to Vermont.  Heading into Wednesday's series opener, Sportman was had a .367 average.

"Everything is just falling my way right now," said Sportman during batting practice Wednesday.
