Ramp from South Pearl Street to Dunn Memorial Bridge in Albany Closed for roadwork
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) The Department of Transporation is advising motorists that the on-ramp from South Pearl Street to the eastbound Dunn Memorial Bridge in downtown Albany will be closed for up to 30 days starting at midnight on Sunday, July 23.
The road work is part of the New York State Department of Transportation’s $22.4 million project to rehabilitate the South Mall Expressway.
During the closure, the official detour will direct vehicles to turn left onto Madison Avenue toward the Hudson River. From there, motorists can access the ramp to southbound Interstate 787. Once on I-787, motorists should use Exit 2. At the end of the Exit 2 off-ramp, turn left onto South Pearl Street (Route 32), and then left again immediately after traveling underneath the highway to access the on-ramp for I-787 northbound. Motorists should then take Exit 3 for Rensselaer (Route 9 South/ Route 20 East) to access the Dunn Memorial Bridge.
