EAST GREENBUSH NY (WRGB) - The Rensselaer County Health Department is alerting residents about an employee who tested positive for COVID-19 at a Walmart in East Greenbush.
The County Health Department is asking residents to call the county Health Department at 518-270-2655 if they visited the Walmart on Route 4 in East Greenbush on April 5th between 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. and are symptomatic.
The County says the employee in question was a cashier at the Walmart. Their shift was April 5th from from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. They confirm the cashier has not returned to work since that day.
UPDATE: Second employee tests positive for COVID-19 at East Greenbush Walmart
The county says the employee began showing symptoms on April 7th, and was tested at the UAlbany testing site the next day, April 8th.
Tuesday, April 14th, their results came back positive.
The case involving the cashier is the only case confirmed by the Rensselaer County Health Department for the East Greenbush Wal-Mart as of the date of publication.
