ALBANY NY (WRGB) - Food pantries have struggled to stay open and fully functional during this pandemic due to a lack of volunteers in some cases, now the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York is calling on the community for their help.
The Food Bank has provided more than 1.2 million pounds of food to communities around the Capital Region since mid-March. That totals to over 1 million meals delivered to families in need.
They say that volunteers are down as citizens practice social distancing, but now a new space is set to open that will be need to be staffed.
