Companies express disappointment over village's PFOA lawsuit plans
HOOSICK FALLS -- Two chemical companies are expressing disappointment over a decision by the village of Hoosick Falls to sue them.
The community is taking action to recover costs related to the water contamination crisis.
Both Honeywell and Saint Gobain Performance Plastics say they have been in negotiations with the village on a settlement -- but the village's attorney says both companies want to be exempt from future claims.
State and federal regulators say the companies are responsible for the PFOA crisis in Hoosick Falls.
