Hoosick Falls water whistleblower speaks out

Michael Hickey is the man who sounded the alarm on the PFOA contamination crisis in Hoosick Falls. Hickey's father, John, died from kidney cancer in 2013.

John Hickey worked at the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics plant in Hoosick Falls for 32 years. After his father's death, Michael tells CBS 6 he started looking for a link, testing drinking water for PFOA, a chemical linked to cancer once used at the plant.

Hickey sat down with Cody Holyoke to discuss the government's response to the contamination crisisand what's next for his village.
