2018 Stockade Art & Nature Garden Tour

The Stockade Association's 2018 "Art in Textiles" Garden tour is coming up Friday July 20th and Saturday the 21st. Tickets are good for both days, you can enjoy Friday, then come back by Saturday for a second look.

VP of the Stockade Association, Colleen Macaulay joined CBS 6 Sunday morning to talk about the upcoming fundraiser for the association. Sylvie Briber, who has one of the eight gardens on display also spoke about the event. She and her husband Bob have a gazebo covered in New Dawn roses encircling a bed of Burgundy Glow ajuga, surrounded by David Austin's roses, Gertrude Jekyll and Ancient Mariner, and pink Knockouts. They also have a lots for lavender lovers.

Visitors will tour the charming Stockade Historic District and be welcomed into eight gardens that are normally hidden from view. Gardens will display unique fiber art of regional artists exclusively installed for the Tour. In addition, plein-air artists will be working in select locations throughout the neighborhood. Gardens at First Presbyterian Church, St. George’s Church, and Riverside Park will also be open.

Get tickets here.

McKeel Hall at First Presbyterian Church at 215 Union Street is where you can pick up your ticket booklet and wrist band to gain entrance to all the private gardens on both days of the tours. McKeel Hall also contains several exhibits of regional artists.
