Albany Symphony Orchestra music director up for Grammy Award

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) - The Grammys are now just two nights away -- just two days until Albany Symphony Orchestra music director David Alan Miller finds out if he wins his second Grammy.

This is Miller's third nomination. He and the Albany Symphony won a Grammy in 2014. He attended the ceremony with his son. He was nominated again in 2016 for his work with the Albany Symphony, but didn't win that time.

This time around, Miller is nominated for his work with the National Orchestral Institute Philharmonic -- it's an elite orchestra made up of some of the top young musicians from across the country. The category? Best orchestral performance. He's going up against orchestras from some of the biggest cities in the country.

See of Miller wins on Sunday night at 8 when The Grammy's air on CBS6.
