ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) - CBS News is reporting that former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is expected to drop out of the race on Wednesday. A source told the network the announcement will likely come in the form of an email to supporters.
Patrick’s campaign manager said in a statement, "As the governor stated tonight, he is evaluating and will make a decision about the future of the campaign tomorrow." Patrick made a similar remark after the New Hampshire Primary Tuesday night.
Entering a crowded Democratic primary in November, Patrick's campaign failed to gain traction. He received just over 1,000 votes in the New Hampshire Primary.
