Columbia-Greene Humane Society opens doors for dogs evacuating from Florence

The Columbia-Greene Humane Society SPCA has opened its doors for dogs evacuating in the wake of Florence.

Since Hurricane Katrina in 2005 the CGHS and SPCA has offered a space for animals that have been displaced by natural disasters throughout our country.

The offering has now been extended to those effected by Florence. They have already received five dogs from South Carolina because their shelter was in the storms path.

All of the dogs will be placed up for adoption once they are deemed healthy enough to go to a new home.

If you want information about the dogs, you can email or call CGHS. They are always accepting donations, which goes towards medical treatments for the animals.
