A Coeymans man faces both felony and misdemeanor charges, after reportedly crashing a vehicle into a residence in the town.

On Saturday, December 10, 2022, at approximately 8:08 a.m., Albany County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a personal injury auto accident at the Rolling Hills Mobile Home Park. Responders located a Nissan 350Z with extensive damage that had struck a residence, causing injuries to two passengers in the vehicle.

Witnesses reported the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed through the park immediately preceding the collision. The driver, Sean P. Campbell, Jr., 19, was located near the scene and showed several signs of intoxication. According to the sheriff's office, Campbell failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested. Further investigation and testing determined that he had been driving with a 0.22% blood alcohol content, as well as a revoked license for a previous Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol conviction. One passenger was transported to Albany Medical Center due to her injuries, and is currently in stable condition.

Campbellhas been charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated (unclassified misdemeanors), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree (a Class E Felony); Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree (an unclassified misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (a Class A Misdemeanor), Reckless Driving, and imprudent speed.

He was released on appearance tickets and is due back in Coeymans Town Court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.
