Cohoes boil-water advisory lifted
COHOES -- A boil water advisory declared Friday in Cohoes has been lifted.
The advisory, issued after a water main break in the vicinity of 6 Berkley Avenue, affected nearly 3,000 households in the vicinity.
The affected areas were placed under the boil advisory until the water could be tested by an environmental laboratory.
Tests found no bacteria in the system. City officials say residents can resume normal consumption of water.
