Colonie Police: Three arrested in connection to two armed robberies

COLONIE, NY (WRGB) - Colonie Police say they have arrested a married couple and one other person in connection to two area robberies.

Police say back on Sunday, at around 6:30 PM, they responded to an armed robbery at a Dunkin Donuts on New Karner Road.

Investigators say two masked people entered the Dunkin Donuts, then held up the two employees at gun point.

No shots were fired, and the suspects were seen fleeing the scene.

Investigators say almost 15 minutes later a vehicle fitting the description was located and stopped.

The three people inside were taken into custody, according to police. 2 BB guns and cash from the Dunkin Donuts was recovered in the search of the vehicle.

Investigators say they also beleive that the three were also involved in the robbery at a Mobile Mobil Mart at 1351 Central Avenue.

Gary Arrington, 36, and his wife Jessica Arrington, 24 were both arrested. Kate-Lynn Newbeck was also arrested.

Police say Gary and Newbeck both entered the store, while Jessica worked as the getaway driver.

All three were charged with robbery and criminal use of a firearm. All three are awaiting arraignment in Albany at the time of this writing.
