Deputies: Granville accused of choking woman, resisting arrest

The Warren County Sheriff's Office say Joshua Crum was charged, accused of assaulting a woman and resisting arrest.

GRANVILLE, NY (WRGB) Deputies say they have arrested a Granville man, accused of assault and resisting arrest.

The Washington County Sheriff's office say they responded to a home on Oatman Lane. There, investigators say a female victim claimed that 32 year old Joshua Crum grabbed her hair and slammed her to the floor and head butted her several times. Deputies say he also attempted to stop her from dialing 911 before fleeing the scene.

Deputies say when they attempted to take Crum into custody, he resisted.

Depurties say he was taken into custody after deployment of a taser.

Crum is charged with obstructing government administration, criminal mischief, resisting arrest. He's also charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, attempted assault and harassment.
