TROY, NY (WRGB) -- The Troy Fire Department is working to determine the cause of another vacant building fire.
This latest happened around 3:30 am Tuesday.
Deputy Chief Eric McMahon tells CBS 6 it was a small fire and only took minutes to put out. He says they believe this fire started on the outside of the structure, but that the cause is still under investigation.
However, fire crews are investigating two recent nearby vacant building fires as arson.
On June 5th, less than two miles there was a fire at a vacant building at 125th and 5th.
That fire sent flames shooting into the air and posed a problem for firefighters as the structure started to collapse, crews couldn't get in to fight it.
Two weeks prior to that in June, there was another arson of a vacant building at Northern and 7th.
McMahon says he feels vacant buildings are a Capital District-wide problem.
