Emma Willard alum carving gargoyles on campus

TROY -- The Emma Willard School is getting some new gargoyles -- courtesy of a 1993 graduate.

Heather Milne Ritchie pursued a career in art after graduating from the all-girls' school. She became a stone carver, and returned to the Capital Region three years ago for a makers' fair hosted at the school.

Now, she's adding her own art to the archway at Hyphen Hall, hoping to inspire current students.
