Father and son arrested on weapons, drug charges
WATERVLIET (WRGB) -- A father and son are behind bars after a four-week drug investigation by the Watervliet Police Department.
Christian Leon-Roldan, 36, and Carols Leon, 59, were arrested Tuesday as police executed a search warrant inside the rear building at 2425 3rd Avenue.
Police said their investigation began with complaints from city residents. Inside the building, police said officers found 2.5 ounces of cocaine, some heroin, a sawed off shotgun, a .45 caliber handgun, and two boxes of ammunition.
Leon and Leon-Roldan face several charges, including criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal nuisance, and criminal possession of a firearm. Both were sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
