Fort Edward firefighters rescue person trapped in house fire
FORT EDWARD (WRGB) – Firefighters are investigating a house fire Thursday night in Fort Edward that sent one person to the hospital.
Fort Edward Police dispatch confirms the fire happened at a home on East Street. It was first called in around 11:50 p.m.
According to the Fort Edward Fire Department, one person was trapped inside. They were rescued and taken to the hospital. No word on the extent of their injuries.
CBS 6 confirmed with police dispatch just after 1 a.m. Friday that the fire was out. According to the Washington County Department of Public Safety's Twitter page, the area of East and Rogers Streets was reopened at 6:40 a.m.
