CATSKILL, NY (WRGB) — The Green County DA is investigating after a man getting tased by police and catching on fire, according to that man's attorney.
The man's attorney, Kevin Luibrand, says that his client Jason Jones was tased while inside the Catskill police station. Jones then reportedly caught on fire due to hand sanitizer that was on his client's body.

His attorney says he’s now seriously injured.
This happened last Friday in Catskill at the police station.
His attorney, Kevin Luibrand could not get into details as to why his client was tased or why he was in the police department.
Jones’ attorney says his client is in a burn unit in Syracuse in a medical situation of the most serious type. His attorney could not say what kind of action will be taken, if any.
Jones’ attorney says there was an exchange that happened and that this was caught on video. He has asked for all relevant information to be retained.
“The goal right now is to preserve whatever evidence there is as to what happened and for he to do his best with doctors to recover as far as he can,” Luibrand said.
CBS6 did reach to the Catskill Police Chief and the DA’s office for comment but have not heard back. We're told there is an investigation into the incident.
