Local veterans mark 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor attack
ALBANY, NY (WRGB)--Wednesday, veterans of all ages from the Capital Region came together to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
There was the gathering at the Zaloga Post of the American Legion in Albany.
There, veterans reconnected- shared stories- and honored those who made the biggest sacrifice on this day 75 years ago.
They say it's great to come together with other veterans who understand how they've defended our freedom.
"I served in Vietnam twice. And when I'm with my fellow veterans, they understand what I've been through. We can celebrate our successes together, mainly being alive. And we feel great support- mutual support." said USS Slater Chairman B.J. Costello.
