Man connected to Saratoga County drug ring pleads guilty
SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. (WRGB) - A second major player in one of the largest drug trafficking organizations in Saratoga County history plead guilty this week.
Cleveland Francis is facing a 12-year-prison sentence.
Francis was arrested back in March, accused of being the main supplier to Schuylerville resident Dennis Jones, who is accused of being a large cocaine distributor in the county over the last several years.
Jones was also arrested in March. Authorities say he was found with several firearms, more than a kilo of cocaine, and 20 pounds of marijuana.
Investigators believe Francis helped Jones distribute cocaine throughout Saratoga County.
Both Francis and Jones were two of several people arrested in what Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo called the largest drug operation he'd seen in 40 years.
