Man pleads guilty to fatally strangling his grandmother
FORT ANN, NY (WRGB) The Washington County DA says that the man accused of killing his grandmother has pleaded guilty to charges.
Kevin Gonyea pleaded guilty on Friday.
His wife, Melissa Gonyea will be sentenced to two consecutive prison sentences of 2 1/3 – 7 years for hindering and offering a false instrument. This after a plea deal where she agreed to cooperate against her husband, Kevin.
Both were arrested on charges in the death of 95-year-old Leona Twiss, who was found dead in her Fort Ann home back in July of 2017.
Kevin is facing up to life in prison when sentenced.
